The weekend of October 28th was the 5A cross country state finals. At the regional tournament the week prior, LUCY WEBB and JULIET CROOKS were the only girls that qualified for state. They placed top 7 out of all the girls that their teams didn't qualify for. The rest of the girls weren't able to finish above the rest of the teams, which did not allow the team to advance. The boys team on the other hand qualified for state as a whole. 

The girls race began at 10:15am where Lucy, a senior, kept a good pace and averaged 6:20 per mile. Juliet was close behind her and averaged 7:01 per mile. 

Lucy Webb came in at 8th and Juliet Crooks came in at 23rd. Juliet says "cross country state went good. It was a really cool experience." 

Short behind the girls race, the guys took off at 11:00am.

Junior Logan Austin placed 26th. Next for the Saints was a freshman, Isaac Anderson, who placed 44th. Then, Kowi Sunray and Trigg Sargeant came in right after each other placing 81st and 82nd.

Sargeant said, "We did what we went there to do. We supported each other as a team and made sure everyone finished strong."

Another freshman, Asher Dennis , placed 95th, and two sophomores, Dylan Fisher and Jake Ruse, placed 104th and 109th, respectively.

With these placements, the boys XC team was able to place 13th out of 14 teams at the state tournament.
