The Middle School Spring sports have been doing a fabulous job this season.
Baseball is 3-0 so far this year with wins over Bishop McGuiness, Millwood, and the OKC Knights.
Track traveled to Thomas, Oklahoma earlier this week and showed their Saints spirit. Boys had 6 first place finishes, with Lex Ripley in the 100m and 200m, Jake Laws in the 400m, Jack Fraim in Pole Vaulting, and the 4x1 and 4x2 relays with the team of Jack, Jack, Drew, and Lex.
Girls track had three 1st place finishes, with Reece Harjo in the 100 meter and long jump, and Courtney Matherly in pole vaulting.
Tennis teams are doing great. They have had an amazing season so far and the rest of the season looks just as promising. Soccer teams are also doing well. Both boys and girls teams have new coaches taking over the programs this year, and so far so good. We don't have specific scores for the middle school golf teams yet, but we've heard it's been a great year so far for them as well.
Eighth-grader Millie Emig said she's not surprised the OCS teams are doing so well this year. "All of the athletes are very encouraging to each other, not only on the field and in the locker room, but in the classroom as well."Â
A compliment like that says so much about our middle school athletes. Keep letting your light shine, Saints!
