The Saints football team will not be playing this Friday because of a bye week. After three hard-fought games against Christian Heritage Academy, Community Christian School, and Luther High School, the OCS Saints have earned a well deserved break. The Saints are 3-0 going into this week, and they are optimistic about practices when preparing for the remaining games ithis season.

    Looking toward the future, the Saints have a tough schedule with teams like Hennessey, Blackwell, and Newkirk standing in the way of their state championship goals. Varsity player Preston McMinn says that the team is "practicing very hard to get better and win football games in the future." The Saints are hopeful that their hard work and dedication can improve their chances at winning a state championship. 
    
    Even though the Saints have a bye week, they are still putting in the hard work to prepare for upcoming games against harsh opponents. The team is practicing, lifting in the weight room, and watching film to improve their game on both sides of the ball, offense and defense. 

    The sports medicine team is working hard to ensure that the football team recovers well while not having a game this Friday. Logan Newberry, a senior on the Sports Medicine team, says the athletic trainers "are making sure all injured players will be back on the field by game time next Friday, keeping players hydrated during practice, and overall making sure players stay healthy for the upcoming weeks". 
    
    The football team is optimistic going into their practices and recovery during bye week!. They cannot wait to get back on the field!
