The annual Saints homecoming is a widely anticipated week all around campus. This ranges from dress up days, to assemblies, and especially court nominations.
Freshmen through juniors each elect one male and female candidate for their respective grade levels. The seniors, however, elect three male and three female candidates who each can receive votes from their peers to receive the title, Homecoming King and Queen.
This year, the freshmen have elected Aniston Marks and Jake Laws. The sophomores have elected Charlotte Free and Asa Hopkins. Representing the juniors is Nina Lombardo and Spencer Schwandt. The couples that the class of 2024 have elected are: Kya Lynch and Cole Henry, Avery Duke and Mason Lopez, and Camrey Litz and Kyler Brown.
The entire high school is a part of voting for who will wear the crown. Ben Sears, a football manager, says that he "will be voting for Kyler and Camrey."
Kierlyn Kramer, a varsity cheerleader, states her vote will be "for Mason and Avery because the represent OCS well and are a great couple."
Sophomore, Legend Bridwell, says that she "will definitely be voting for Kya and Cole."
A vital individual in both STUCO and basketball, Blake Metheny, says how he "doesn't know who to vote for" since he "loves all three of the guys."
The ballots from the student body have not been counted yet, so OCS must wait until 6:30pm on September 29 to see who their new king and queen will be.
