Look Forward Pt 1: Football
Saints Football will be losing a lot of players next year due to the graduation of a strong senior class. Many of these players were important components of the starting lineup, and will need to be replaced.

The seniors make up 17 out of the total 54 players, a disproportionately large number. Seeing as many of these 17 players were a part of the starting lineup, there will be no shortage of spots to fill next year. Notable voids are in every position, but most significantly include quarterback, wide receiver, and both offensive and defensive lines. However, incoming senior Preston McMinn is not worried about a few vacancies, stating that "We're going to put in all the work and effort in order to have a good season." 

If the Saints want to have a successful season, though, they will need their young players to step up. There will be no more than 6 returning seniors, so unless the Saints are blessed with several new seniors, underclassmen appearances will be frequent.

This does not have to be a concern for the Saints, though, as any drawbacks that come with a young team are minimized when they are well-disciplined and hard working in the weight room and on the field. The team will be looking to promote these values over the summer and in the preseason in order to match the physicality and intensity that other teams will bring to the field.

The coaches' desire to get the hard work in early is undeniable; the team is already taking measures to prepare for next season, with workouts and practices starting already. Throughout the summer, they will continue to work hard in order to best prepare themselves for a challenging season. Let's wish the football team luck this season, but before anything, let's wish them luck in working hard this summer!
