Look Forward Pt 2: Cross Country & Volleyball

Cross Country
The girl's cross country team was largely successful last season, despite their promotion to Oklahoma 5A. Runners medaled frequently, so despite not bringing home state, it was a relatively successful season. However, the girls' side will suffer the losses of several seniors, meaning that the current sophomore class will need to run hard next year to make up for it. 

The boys, on the other hand, will lose zero seniors next year. Despite a loss or two across the board, including sophomore TRIGG SARGEANT, they should be a much better team next year. 

There are also several confirmed new additions to both teams, consisting of both incoming freshman and upperclassmen. When combined with the fact that the Saints may be moved down from 5A to 4A, fans can expect a strong season from both boys and girls, with the State title a possibility for both.

Volleyball
The Saints Volleyball team was highly talented last season, and even saw glimpses of a State title. However, after a strong run in the competition, they were eliminated to Bethany. 

The girls had some standout seniors, including Addison Nichols, FINLEY FORRESTER, and ANNA DEGRAFFENREID (who will play collegiately for Kansas Wesleyan next season), but they also had a healthy mix of younger players who contributed. RACHEL MEGNA and Miley Myers, for example, are sophomores who were essential to the team's success. 

There were plenty of other non-senior players who contributed to the Saints' performances, and plenty more who will be looking to do so next season. Incoming senior player ADDISON SEEFELDT gives her thoughts on the team's potential, expressing that "We lost some key roles to graduation, but have some new faces who should be able to step in and half fill our gaps. They have great energy and are already stepping up to the challenge. I'm looking forward to this upcoming season." 

The optimism seems tangible for next season, and the girls seem eager to meet and exceed the already-lofty expectations set for them. Come out and support Saints Volleyball next fall to watch them in action!
