On August 26, the Varsity Cheer team spent their Saturday morning teaching elementary grades different cheers and dances. Grades Pre-K through 6 were invited and about 200 girls came. 

The varsity cheerleaders had the season opener and big bash the night before. The football game was postponed until 8 due to the severe heat. REESE RAMSEY says she "didn't get home until 12, after [she] went and got food after." Nevertheless, the wakeup call at 7am was tough for all the cheerleaders. 

When the cheerleaders got there, Head Coach Audra Anderson provided energy drinks and some snacks for the girls. As the mini saints cheerleaders started to show up at the door around 8:15, the show began to start. 

Each grade had around 4-5 cheerleaders in charge of them , and taught them cheers, dances, stunts, and jumps. They also had games and snack time. 

At the end of the day at 12:30, parents of the mini cheerleaders came into the gym and watched the cheerleaders perform what they learned that day at the clinic.  

The next week as the OCS football team went against the Community Christian Royals, the cheerleaders that participated in the clinic got to perform at halftime. More than 200 little kids lined up on the far side of the field waiting to show everyone the skills they had learned. Many parents showed out for this and loved to watch their kid perform on the football field.
