As the basketball season comes to an end, and the state competition on the horizon, players are excited to see how far they can get.
Last year the OCS basketball boys won their the way through district, regional, area, and eventually the state competition, and this year they are looking to do it again.
With the team already winning the district game, they are getting ready for the regional tournament. Junior
Eli Winter says he hopes the hard work the team's put in will off. "I am excited to start the playoffs and hopefully can pull out with a state championship," Winter said.Â
After a Valentine's Day win against Jones, the Saints stand at 15-6 for the season. They say their biggest competition ahead of them are Douglas, Weatherford, and Crossings Christian.
Sophomore
Hudson Struckel looks at the increased competition as a fun challenge. "I love when we get to go against the top teams because I can show what I can do."
From early morning workouts to two-hour, after-school practices, the team says they're putting in as much effort as possible so they can repeat last year's successes.
Good luck, Saints! We believe in you!Â
