The Oklahoma Christian School Saints put on a dominant performance Friday night, defeating the Harrah Panthers 67-44 to capture the 4A district championship. The victory was even sweeter as it came on Senior Night, with the home crowd celebrating the team's veteran players in their final regular-season home game.
A new starting lineup for this game was introduced, including seniors COLESON MORRIS, PRESTON MCMINN, and MATT JOHNSON.
OCS set the tone early, using a high-energy defense to stifle Harrah and build an early lead. Junior guard HUDSON ONANÂ led the way with 15Â points, while RYLAN JAY and MATT JOHNSON contributed key rebounds and defensive stops. The Saints' sharp ball movement and strong shooting from beyond the arc helped them extend their advantage, heading into halftime up by double digits.
Harrah made a push in the third quarter, but the Saints responded with a decisive scoring run to put the game out of reach. The Panthers struggled to find offensive rhythm against OCS's aggressive defense, sealing their fate.
With the win, OCS not only secured the district championship but also gained momentum heading into the postseason. The Saints will now set their sights on the regional tournament playing Perkins-Tryon, hoping to continue their strong play in pursuit of a state title.
