In a nail-biting showdown at the Dale Tournament Championship game, the OCS Varsity Boys Basketball team faced a tough 51-64 defeat against Dale.
The game was a roller coaster of emotions, with both teams displaying exceptional skill and determination on the court. Our Saints beat team after team while blazing through the bracket. Despite the OCS team's valiant efforts, Dale managed to secure a lead and keep it, ultimately clinching the championship victory.
The OCS players fought with tenacity and teamwork throughout the game, showcasing their commitment to the sport.
BRYSON LYNCH, a sophomore, thinks that "the tournament overall went well. We always want to win and even though we didn't, I think we grew closer together as a team and after losing [we] just [want] to win the next game even more."
The OCS community rallied behind the team, cheering them on from the stands and offering words of encouragement.
Senior, Katie Jo Eisenhower remembers that "the boys tried really hard but the third quarter really got them."
Although the loss stings, the players are determined to learn from this experience and come back stronger in future tournaments.
Despite the disappointment, the OCS Varsity Boys can hold their heads high, knowing they left everything on the court. As they regroup and prepare for upcoming challenges, the team remains optimistic about their potential for success in the remainder of the season.
