Several coaches have come and gone this last year at OCS.
Last year's head baseball coach Romus Cezar left OCS after last season to take his dream job as head coach at 6A Edmond Santa Fe. That left many questions about who would or could fill in the hole and lead the OCS baseball team.
The new coach would definitely have some big shoes to fill considering Coach RC's energy, passion, and personality. He also led the Saints to in a great season, taking the team to the state tournament. They played against the Kingston Redskins first and unfortunately lost to them.Â
Jonathan Dillon, known as Coach JD, was the assistant coach for a number of years. He was chosen to be the new head coach, and it was announced it to the team last summer. So the team has had plenty of experience working the Coach JD and they've had the entire off season to work with him as head coach.
Coach JD is someone that a lot of people enjoy having around, and his hard work for both the baseball team and the school does not going unnoticed. A lot of the players feel confident under his leadership."This year will be fun", said senior catcher
Jack Cullen. "I am ready to see what we can accomplish this year as a team and compete for a championship."
