This past Saturday, the OCS Saints varsity basketball team beat Fairview 75 to 48. However, the real highlight of the day was how OCS Forward, Luke Gray, surpassed Blake Griffin for the all-time scoring record at OCS. 

Saints fans and supporters of all ages showed up to the game not only to see their Saints take on Fairview, but were also expecting that history may also be taking place. Going into the game, Luke only needed 11 points to break the established record held by Blake Griffin.

Before Luke pulled off this feat, Griffin had held the record with 1,663 points scored in his OCS career. Beating this record was a daunting task, but Luke was able to overcome all obstacles ending the game versus Fairview with 1,676 career points.

As far as the man himself, Luke soaked in his achievement and thanked the crowd saying, "It felt good how much everyone was there and supported as well." This just goes to show how "tight-knit" and supportive the OCS community really is.

It is also important to mention the teammates who have helped Luke on his journey. One teammate, Jagger Jay, expressed his amazement stating, "It was kind of crazy he passed Blake Griffin." Knowing that Luke has surpassed an NBA legend points to a future of great opportunity and success.
