MILEY MYERS, a Junior, has decided to continue her athletic and academic career at UT Tyler! She has been working towards this goal since she was eight years old and clearly all the work she has put in over the years has finally payed off, hence her becoming a Patriot! 

She gives her thanks to her family for showing her endless support and for giving her the opportunity to play the sport that she loves. She also gives thanks to her coaches who believed in her and saw her potential and helped her develop into the player that she has now become. Most importantly, she gives all the glory to God. She has persevered through difficult times and intense obstacles. 

"I am so beyond blessed and grateful to have the opportunity to play my collegiate volleyball career at UT Tyler!!" Says MILEY MYERS. 

Her family has shown her how proud they are with Miley's mom saying "What a fun season of life this has been, watching my Miley chase after her dreams.  Most people don't see all the work that goes into the whole recruiting process and I have really enjoyed watching her navigate it through the highs and lows. It has been awesome for building life skills that will be really beneficial outside of volleyball as well.  From all the phone calls with college coaches; being an engaged listener, asking good questions, doing her homework, and just overall communication skills.  Kids do so much through text and snap and what not these days, that having an actual phone conversation is a little intimidating at first.  Miley has worked so hard for the last year; a summer packed full of prospect camps, nearly 500 personalized emails that were opened by college coaches with countless other emails that went ignored, & nearly 60 phone calls with college coaches all the while still growing her game on the court".  

MILEY MYERS truly deserves this and she is beyond excited and grateful to continue playing her favorite sport at UT Tyler!
