Boys Track Places Well
This past week the saints boys track team had a meet at Cushing Highschool. They were able to place third place overall as a team. They worked extremely hard so that they could place this high and perform to the best of their abilities. Many runners were able to set personal records for their events that they participated in.Â
Preston McMinn participated in the first track meet of his highschool career. He ran the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash finishing 18th and 11th overall. He was quoted saying, "Track is a lot of fun, I enjoy putting in hard work and seeing it translate to the meet. I am very proud of how our team competed."
One of the major reasons that the saints were able to place so high was because of Atticus Sage's win in the 300 meter hurdles. It was his first meet of the year, and he ran his race in 43.18 seconds. He recalled how, "Track meets are like picnics, but every couple hours you get chased by a bear."
We would like to wish the saints good luck as their season continues, and we hope they are able to continue this success on the track.
