This past Tuesday, April 16th, the OCS boys soccer team competed against Newcastle. This was the Saint's senior night, and OCS played at a high level throughout the game to send out the seniors with a positive result. In the end, the Saints came out with a hard fought win with a score of 1-0.

The Saints also had another reason to play hard and win the game other than for the seniors. They had to win this game to stay in playoff contention. Junior midfielder, Hudson Hahn, pointed this out when saying, "This was a must-win game for us to make it to State, so we knew what the stakes were heading into it."

However, the main focus of this game was on the seniors who would be playing their last home game. Before the game, seniors were recognized on the field with their families, sharing their plans for their future and their favorite moments while playing soccer.

In total, the Saints did well to glorify God with their stunning performance on Tuesday. One of the seniors on the team, Ethan Brazil, summed up the game well stating that "We did really well to hold on. …Solid team performance." Hopefully this win will carry OCS into the first round of the playoffs.
