This season, the OCS boys soccer team had a new addition to the coaching staff. Mr. Caldwell has been a beloved teacher and headmaster during his time at OCS. This season, he joined the boys soccer team as an assistant coach.

While he did not understand much about the game of soccer, he had been coaching for years and brought a wealth of experience to the team's culture. Team captain, Hudson Hahn, reflected on the season with Caldwell stating, "Mr. Caldwell isn't very familiar with the game of soccer, but that's not why he was coaching. He was our spiritual coach who helped us see the game through a Christian perspective."

Some of the team may have even referred to him as the "prayer coach" due to the fact that he prayed before every practice and game. When a pep talk was needed, he was there to give it. Mr. Caldwell himself reflected on the experience saying that "It was the experience of growing, going to practice, watching guys improve, and with me kind of being the person who kept us on the spiritual track."

Overall, the Saints were fortunate to have Mr. Caldwell as a coach this year teaching them what it means to be a man of God.
