This Thursday, April 18, the OCS Saints soccer teams face off against Weatherford. This is the last district encounter, meaning that the stakes are very clear. Both the Saints boys and girls teams have a very good chance of qualifying for State playoffs, but will be looking to guarantee qualification and secure a better position in their group.

Girls
The girls are in a good place to finish high in their district, but a Weatherford team that has not lost a district game yet stands firm in their way. In fact, their only loss came in a pre-district game against Yukon. However, the Lady Saints boast a strong squad as well, and will undoubtedly give Weatherford a run for their money. A strong performance from the Saints' key players could be enough to push them over the top.

Boys
The Weatherford boys lost their only game of the season in a 3-0 defeat to Clinton. They have swept the rest of the district, so the Saints will be looking to put up a fight against a very strong team. A win for the boys would guarantee qualification to the State playoffs, as well as giving them a chance to finish third, or even second, in their group. A loss could result in missed State qualification at worst and a very difficult first round game at best.
