The Girls Soccer Team has been battling hard this season, showing both skill and determination on the field. With notable wins against several challenging opponents, the team continues to push forward despite facing several setbacks.
One major hurdle has been a growing list of injuries. Key players like Izzy Martin and Avery Gregory have been sidelined due to ankle injuries, forcing the team to adjust their lineup and rely on other talent.
"We've had to be extremely flexible with our game plan. We have all been in constant prayer that everyone heals up," said Finley Curran.
Even with the injuries, the team has shown impressive resilience. Their spirits and effort on and off the field have proved that.
"Our goal is to get as far as we can in the playoffs and we're gonna work hard to get there. Our team is adapting to the injuries, focusing on the health of the players, but still pushing ourselves as best we can," said Georgia Von Feldt a Freshman.
Several players have stepped into new roles this season, including Ella Kates, Georgia Von Feldt, and more. They have had to adapt and move from position to position to help fill gaps. The team is continuing to work hard in practices as they prepare for playoffs.
The girls soccer team is scheduled to play against Hilldale for the first game of playoffs. Fans are hopeful that with their determination and teamwork, the team can finish the season strong.
