On April 30th at 6pm, the Lady Saints Varsity Soccer team will face Heritage Hall at their adversary's home field for the first round of playoffs. This might sound like a familiar foe for our loyal soccer fans because this is the exact match up seen in the 2023 Girls Soccer State Championship last year. Unfortunately, our girls lost 0-2 to Heritage Hall in a very tough battle for the ring. Regardless, our Lady Saints are determined to come out swinging in this playoff game.
Girls soccer manager, Rachel Megna, looks forward to it, saying "I've had a lot of fun watching the girls this season and cheering them on, so I'm excited to see what they put together for the Heritage Hall game."
There will be evident tension from last year's final in their game, making our Lady Saints eager for the win. If we win, we would knock out the #1 seed and go on to the quarterfinals.
Head Coach Juan Castillo said to the girls this past week, "I have a good feeling about this game." This mindset will definitely spread among the team and hopefully throughout the school in support of our team in the playoffs this year.
Make sure to show up to cheer on our girls! Go Saints!
