This Tuesday the Oklahoma Christian School Junior class of 2026 went to Oklahoma State University for a College Visit. Oklahoma State University is in Stillwater, Oklahoma. It is a Division 1 school in the Big Twelve Conference. OSU has many opportunities for all their students, such as athletic programs, over 500 clubs to choose from, and social activities.

At Oklahoma Christian School we have a wonderful College Counselor, Sherry Sage. She plays many roles at OCS, such as, providing help and information on how to apply for colleges, how to apply for the ACT, helping students find colleges that might best suit their interests, and many more. Mrs. Sage provides the opportunity for Juniors and Seniors to go on College Visits through the school. She also brings in previous OCS students, or students at a particular college, to lunches in the conference room to talk about the college they are attending now.

Mrs. Sage says, "The primary purpose of a college visit is to gain a firsthand, personal experience of the campus and its culture, allowing prospective students to assess if it's a good fit for their needs and interests. It offers the chance to explore the physical environment, interact with students and faculty, and get answers to specific questions about academics, social life, and campus resources. My role as the college counselor here at OCS is to expose students to a variety of career and educational fields beyond high school graduation and to assist with the application process, scholarships, and financial aid for each student."
