On Tuesday, March 26, the OCS Saints boys soccer team took on OKC Storm. While this was not a district game, it was a good chance for the Saints to get in better playing shape for the upcoming district schedule.
OCS was not able to pull out the win, losing 3-0; however, it was a learning experience. One of the midfielders on the team, Hudson Hahn, reflected on the loss by stating that "it was not a great night for us, but maybe we got some of the bad luck out before we start District."Â
The game started out well for the Saints with passes being connected and decent chances for goals being presented. The game at half time was 1-0, and OCS was sure that they had the ability to come back and win the game. Another OCS midfielder, Ethan Brazil, knew that they "started the game well, but then it kind of fell apart."
By the time the second half rolled around, OKC Storm scored a second goal followed up by a third one later in the game. While this was a disappointing loss for the Saints, it allowed the team to try out different formations and strategies for their first district game on Thursday versus Harding Charter.
