Club Sports Outside of School

When School Sport seasons end, some athletes go and play club sports. Club sports have started to gain popularity and recognition. With over 25+ sports having club teams this allows student athletes to keep playing their sport even when their school season has come to an end. Many sports have gained lots of new players with club sports becoming more and more popular. Club sports have grown as a whole with recruiting. For example, Club sports have helped many athletes play at the next level. After High school only six percent of Athletes play at the collegiate NCAA level. OCS Varsity Volleyball star, Rachel Megna, tells how her club season has helped her get recruited to play at the next level, "club provides a great amount of exposure and opportunity for college coaches to watch you. going to big tournaments helped my recruiting a lot. college coaches from all over the country were able to watch me." Rachel is verbally committed to the University of Tulsa to play NCAA Divison 1 college volleyball.
