Volleyball is getting ready to take action on the courts soon. This past Monday, Head Coach Rachel Sinclair held a meeting explaining the fundamentals of the High School Volleyball program. All the coaches had the opportunity to introduce themselves to the upcoming freshman and any new players and parents.
Freshman Coach Rebecca Robberson explains, "One way to set up our volleyball season for success is by having a parent/player meeting in the spring to lay out certain expectations and to give a perspective on how the season will play out. It's also a great time for us coaches to introduce ourselves and graciously ask for parent participation for help on certain things during the season, like picking up meals for away games, hosting team dinners, and prayer partners. It seems redundant for the returning volleyball families but it is especially beneficial for incoming freshmen and new students. The volleyball season is always so fast and it's nice to get something "checked off the list" to do before we start with practices in the summer!"
Volleyball is an exciting opportunity for many students, if you are interested in playing volleyball tryouts are in May, and there are zero cuts from the roster, so there is a guarenteed spot for everyone.
Junior Volleyball Player,
Ava Burns, says, "I am so excited for volleyball season to start. I am excited to be a senior and make new friendships with the incoming freshman"
This coming up Volleyball season is looking bright, and Championships are in mind.
