We are pleased to introduce the new head wrestling coach James Lichtenberger. James has been with the Saints wrestling program for several years and has proven to have vast knowledge on the sport. The athletes are already very familiar with him and are ready to see what he is like as a head coach not just an assistant.
James is a great choice for this position he has been around the sport of wrestling for a very long time now. He is inheriting a fairly young team so our hopes go out to him that he may have the wisdom to coach these athletes as well as the past coach. His goals include growing participation, fostering a winning culture, and helping student-athletes succeed both on and off the mat.
"I am interested to see what it will be like now with a new head coach, especially with my younger brother being on the team," says senior wrestlerÂ
Dax Lopez.Â
James has been mainly around the middle school athletes for the majority of his assistant coach position, so it is exciting to see how he will guide these young wrestlers into their high school careers.Â
With Lichtenberger at the helm, Saints fans are hopeful for a dominant year on the wrestling mat.Â
